I think ringtones can be like portraits of people. They say something about the person. As part of my collaboration/coordination with local cafe proprietor, Jonathan Legare, I've made an intentional portrait ringtone.
Jonathan wanted to record a thrash version of Girl From Ipanema. I created a ringtone version in garageband. Jonathan wouldn't do the vocal track, but I did get him to say "Legare's" into a mic which turns the ringtone into an ad for the cafe.
