I think ringtones can be portraits of people and also pieces of poetry. My favorite local composer, Karl Williams, agreed to record electronic music with me. From our explorations came some awesome sketches, but no final pieces. Karl agreed to let me transfer these ideas from our synthesizers to the quicktime midi synthesizer as midi file ringtones.
